I'm Navid F Rahman (Nav for short), a concept artist and illustrator based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Born and brought up in Dhaka, Bangladesh, I have worked independently and in collaboration with other artists, animators and agencies across Bangladesh and Canada to promote art through sketching, worldbuilding and visual storytelling.
With a keen eye for detail and affinity towards illustrating original concepts, I love writing and drawing webcomics and storyboards for animated videos. My skills have allowed me to work with prolific names such as the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh, Axiata Group Berhad, and Wahid Ibn Reza (former VFX artist for the Marvel Cinematic Universe).
I graduated from the University of Toronto in 2023 with a Masters in User Experience Design. Parallel to my career as a User Experience Designer, I have continued to hone my skills in visual storytelling through a wide range of projects and art styles. One of my current projects is a long-term webcomic called "Ashes Awaken", which is being published monthly on Tapas.io.
Besides sketching, I love working out, swimming, going on long drives, and listening to progressive metal. The most precious time of my day is going bike-riding on the lakeside with my 9-year-old daughter.
